Did you know?
Fabrics made from the pulp of bamboo are super easy to wear. Aside from its earth-friendly qualities, here are some other benefits of wearing bamboo:
*Antibacterial: it keeps you odor free and smelling fresh
*Absorbent: it absorbs perspiration to keep you dry
*Insulating: it keeps you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter
*Hypoallergenic: if you're allergic to wool, try bamboo
*Protective: it naturally contains a high UV-ray sun block
*Tactile: it's one of the softest fabrics next to your skin
I just thought this was really cool. One of the best things about Bamboo for clothing is how SOFT it is!! You can buy Bamboo underwear from Marks Work Wearhouse (2 pair for $12) and I highly recommend it - it is AMAZING!
In my opinion, all clothing should be made out of bamboo and bamboo blends!

Green Organic Baby
Hi!! My name is Jill, I am a mom of two, my 8 year old step-daughter, Mackey and my 14 month old son, Joshua! Since my pregnancy I have put lots of thought on what we were eating, what products we were using, and just about everything changed in my thought patterns!
We started going to our local Farmer's Market (we are lucky to have ours year-round in Cambridge, Ontario). Only buying organic veggies, and our meat was hormone-free, antibiotic-free and certified organic! It all tasted so much better and really wasn't much more expensive to buy.
Since Joshua was born, we have moved to Organic cottons, Bamboo (a fav!) and then I started my own company http://www.GreenBabyClothingCompany.com because I found the organic and bamboo items could be made really fun with a little creativity introduced!! I am loving my new job and it allows me to be home with Joshua instead of going back to my job as a Corporate Sales Rep for a major telecommunications company (I like what I am doing now SO much better!!)
Well this blog is a place to talk about ideas on how to make the world stay as green as possible for our kids and our grandkids and so on!!
Our next family project is to make one of a kind stuffed animals using recycled items (buttons) and organic fabrics and stuffing!! We are all very excited about it!
